Datenschutzanfragen
1. Overview and controller
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we process when you use this website, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
International Center for Integrative and Cellular Medicine GmbH, Arabellastraße 21, 81925 Munich, Germany, email: datenschutz@icicm.de.
2. Data we process when you visit
When you access this website, your browser necessarily transmits technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and time of access) to our hosting provider. This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) and is stored only as long as necessary for security and operation.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, which operates the underlying servers on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement. As Vercel is based in the United States, technical connection data may be transferred to servers outside the EU; such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.
All data is transmitted over an encrypted TLS/HTTPS connection, recognizable by the padlock symbol in your browser and the "https://" address.
3. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only strictly necessary first-party cookies: a preference cookie that remembers your chosen language, and a cookie that records your cookie choice. They store no personal data and are exempt from consent requirements, as they are strictly necessary to provide the service you requested.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party web analytics. Because no consent-requiring cookies are set, the site works without any consent; for transparency, a short cookie notice is shown on your first visit and links to this policy. Should analytics be introduced in future, a compliant consent mechanism will be added and this policy updated.
Our contact page offers an optional interactive map from OpenStreetMap. It is not loaded automatically, it loads only after you actively click to display it, at which point map data (including your IP address) is requested from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom).
4. Contact form
If you use our contact form, we process the data you provide (such as name, email address and the content of your message) solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) and, where a treatment relationship is being established, the steps taken at your request prior to a contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR).
Note: the contact form on this website is currently a demonstration stub and does not transmit or store data until connected to the clinic's secure backend.
5. Health data
Data concerning health is a special category of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR and receives heightened protection. We process such data only where you provide it to us for the purpose of your care, on the basis of your explicit consent or the provisions governing medical treatment (Art. 9 (2)(a) and (h) GDPR), and always under professional confidentiality.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- request erasure (Art. 17)
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
- withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77)
7. Data retention and security
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by statutory retention obligations, in particular those applicable to medical documentation. We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
8. Contact for data protection
For any question regarding this policy or to exercise your rights, contact us at datenschutz@icicm.de. Where a Data Protection Officer has been appointed, their contact details can also be requested at this address.
