Supportive Medical Procedures
Advanced Individualized IV Therapy
Intravenous therapy provides a route for administering selected substances directly into the circulation under medical supervision.
Overview
Intravenous therapy provides a route for administering selected substances directly into the circulation under medical supervision.
At ICICM, intravenous protocols are individually selected rather than based on a single standardized infusion program.
Where IV therapy is considered appropriate, composition, dosage, sequence and frequency are determined according to the individual medical situation, available laboratory information and the context in which the infusion is being used.
IV therapy may be provided independently or as a supportive component alongside other procedures.
The use of an individualized infusion protocol does not imply a specific therapeutic result.

Medical assessment before procedure
The availability of a procedure does not mean that it is appropriate for every patient. Before any procedure is considered, the patient's medical history, current clinical situation, available diagnostic information and relevant medical factors are evaluated.
No diagnostic or therapeutic procedure can guarantee a specific clinical outcome.
